There are times when I am seething…

and the only thing I can do is write..write to say how angry I am…write because Tumwi gives me reasons to blog..This enlightened fellow gives me reason to…this goddess actually is vulnerable and this fellow here writes from his heart!

Now that kampala is being turned into Metropolitan of sorts, what next? Buganda is still mad at the central government for all it’s land issues…I have a quick way to solve these issues, let the government of Uganda value all the businesses, schools, hospitals and whatever is on ‘Buganda’s land’ and send them a bill, if they pay they can have it back..if they can’t well..everyone should be given a chance to own land.

Now UK parliament MP’s want an inquiry into the death of Kifefe..sad he died, but that is life. If the government of Uganda poisoned him and he ended up with cancer of sorts..which means the government of Uganda knows how to create cancers hence also have the antidote to cure this said ‘mysterious’ disease…in that case we can patent this cure and make a killing(absolutely no pun intended)..cancer has eluded the most brilliant minds in the world, now would be our chance for Uganda to shine, CHOGM came and went, Ebola is here, Kony is gone, something finally good..infact ‘Gifted by nature’ campaign failed…FAILED…UK parliament stick to British Legislation, Leave us alone!!!

Speaking of ‘Gifted by Nature’ campaign, someone sue ‘TWERP consultants for breech of contract and a poor campaign. Gifted by nature should have been a brand name like..like..Coca-cola, Pepsi…Blue Magic..guaranteed by TERP(now read as TWERP)..but alas, it died prematurely(is there anything like a premature death?). Mistake number one, there was no branding..absolutely no branding..What TWERP should have done is to take the symbol of Gifted by Nature and have every product ‘manufactured in Uganda’ and have it on each and everyone one of them.I’m talking about calenders, soft drinks, quencher bottles, biscuit packets..sauce pans..each product!!! shopping baskets, boda-bodas, umbrellas..we needed to have promoted it in Uganda! Secondly, they should have used the border points ie Malaba, Busia, Gatuna, Entebbe and along all the major highways in Uganda! They should have liased with all airlines that land in Uganda or leave Uganda to have a full page, just one page saying ‘Uganda;Gifted by nature’ with just the symbol and probably something from Uganda  like wildlife or fauna..but no we needed a 2 minute advert on CNN’s Inside Africa’ which is a measely half an hour with 2 breaks or 3 hence 6 minutes of fame! What those TWERP consultants didnt ask themselves is ‘what is our target audience?’…’Who watches Inside Africa?’..but no big names arent necessarily effective marketing. They lacked a strategy, and a master plan. No long term goals, no documentary, nothing!! They should have made a documentary about Uganda, or better still invited a crew from one of the local channels like the BBC or ITV and got them create a documentary, something along the lines of a tour of Uganda by two children or something. After getting our hands on that documentary, we can send it to different news agencies around the world and pay for prime time space on national tv(which is less than 1 million dollars by the way) and have it run for a few months. Next have a few clips playing in the different Missions abroad, all it takes is a plasma tv and a dvd player to keep playing these clips but no…this was not done! No adverts, no video clips..NOTHING!!

Gifted by nature was supposed to be a branding experience for Uganda but what has happened? I suggest we sue the pants of those twerps for a miserable campaign! The only marketing we are going to do is by ourselves, not CNN..and certainly not by TWERP!

I have seen some blogs with excellent photos, ThisisAfrica has amazing pics of Uganda, The Insomniac has great pics of Uganda, Scarlett Lion has great pics of Uganda…what pics did TWERP have? None…they don’t even have a bleeding website!! Now why hire a media company that doesnt have it’s own advertising space?

They should have just hired me to do the Gifted by nature campaign, I know some great photographers, a media genius and a marketing professional….a handful of eloquent speakers, excellent traditional dancers, one digital expert…another graphics designer and some serious great business minds and strange enough they are all patriotic enough!!

I can still smell her on my hands, cocoa butter..jojoba and vanilla…now I have a mild attack of asthma!! WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!
